My Background

I must tell you, I'm not just some guy who designs websites and dreams about layouts and code. Not that I don't wake up some mornings with thoughts about a project rattling around in my head, because I do. But I've had a pretty eclectic work history.

When I was in high school I occasionally worked in a factory that made valves for walk in refrigerators. I worked in hotels and restaurants. I was a classically-trained saucier, the cuisinière in charge of soups, sauces, and stocks. I was a waiter for a while...
I learned about karma from being a waiter.

And I am, and always will be, a musician. I would offer that music governs my creative thought processes, even while occupied in work or activities that have nothing to do with music.

I played music, so I was fascinated with sound, which led me to an undergraduate program that prepared me for work in sound recording, which led to gigs in recording studios, radio, copywriting, marketing, sales, and market research.

Which prompted my return to graduate school at Syracuse University, which fostered my interest in Adobe products...but along the way, involved a detour into professional audio and sound recording technologies jobs, with Guitar Center, Shure, and Steinberg - the Audio Group of Pinnacle Systems...

All of which provided me with a spectrum of knowledge that I employ with clients and employers to this day. Also a certain maturity...although the musician in me is always a little wary
about growing up.
