Michael Mestres is Mesamerica

...my grandfather used to tell me his grandfather use to tell him that nobody could spell our last name. “Get used to it”, he’d say, along with, “...and save your money.”

And seemingly, he was right...I’ve come to accept that for some reason, the name Mestres is confusing to spell. So when it came time for a domain I decided to make it easy for everybody, including myself.

So it’s Mesamerica, with tacit acknowledgement to that Seinfeld episode.

Mesamerica turned out to be a very effective key word. Google Mesamerica and it’s me followed by the entire Pre-Columbian, Mesoamerican culture.

Anyway, thanks for taking time to peruse my website. I am endeavouring for Mesamerica (yes, I’ve given my website a name), to be a work-related document, a platform to demonstrate my understanding of design/development concepts and media types for the web.

But I’m also about having fun, so I've added sections for my music, video and other projects, with room for more.

And, because of my experience as a technology evangelist, I’m also providing a resource section, as a reference for employers, cohorts and friends, 'cause I've learned that it's important to be a value-added person.
